Silver Screen Sisters
Once upon a time, Sophie asked Billie, “Wanna start a podcast about 80s movies?”
Billie said, “Uh, no. I hate 80s movies.”
And the Silver Screen Sisters Podcast was born.
In truth, we just needed an education, as neither of us had watched many 80s movies. Who’s John Hughes? What are The Outsiders?
These are questions we ask. Because we have no clue.
And don’t even begin to ask us how to pronounce names.
We invite you to join us as we discover what makes the 80s such an iconic time for cinema and why people come back to them again and again.

Episode 40 - Sophie's first time watching Amadeus
Not only has Sophie never seen this film, but it's also about one of Billie's favorite subjects: music. Specifically, Mozart. Directed by Milos Forman and starring F. Murray Abraham and Tom Hulce, Amadeus tells the story of Salieri's jealousy of Mozart's genius and how there aren't enough sweets to help him cope. I think we all know what that's like. So, grab your dessert and listen to us try to mimic Mozart's laugh and get way too into music history.
